At the age of 17, Steve was the youngest employee at the Xerox Corporation, serving as a specialist in electronic digital controls and electromagnetic systems. At the time, he had no idea how his experience in electronics and magnetism would serve as a foundation for his in-depth understanding of cellular communication and intercellular exchange.
Since 1994, Dr. Hines has served as the Director of Clinical Research at Hope Clinics International in Acuna, Mexico. The clinic specializes in the treatment of advanced degenerative diseases. In 2007, he established the Hormonal Balance Clinic of San Angelo, Texas where he utilizes nutrition, diet and life style management to normalize the function of the endocrine system.
Dr. Hines and his partner Elio Rivera created the treatment regimen known as “Mitochondrial Rescue Therapy”. At his clinics in Mexico and Texas he has treated Hollywood actors, country music stars, Senators and Foreign Prime Ministers.
Dr. Hines serves as president and Founder of the Texas Naturopathic Medical Society, an organization established to increase the level of professionalism in the field of Holistic Medicine and to help bring Holistic Medicine to the citizens of Texas.
Dr. Hines recently co-authored the book, The Road To Health With Laura Shroeder, which provides detailed and effective dietary strategies to restore normal gastrointestinal tract function, alleviate blood sugar disregulation and chronic fatigue. Dr. Hines has also authored and published a previous book entitled, Microencapsulated Colostrum. In 2007, Dr. Hines recorded his 4½ hour DVD series on, Gastrointestinal Function and Gastrointestinal Disorders. This definitive work on the GI tract is now part of the curriculum of naturopathic colleges and other educational curriculums.
